Leaves
Make three, using 2 different shades of green. Make two in one shade and one leaf in the other shade.
1. Chain 21 chain stitches. This is the main chain. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 10 slst and then *chain 5. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 1 sc in each ch stitch till you reach the main chain (4 sc). Crochet 1 sc in the next 2 ch stitches along the main chain*, repeat 3 times. Then once again chain 5. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 1 sc in each ch stitch till you reach the main chain. Crochet 1 sc in the next 3 ch stitches along the main chain. Crochet 3 sc in the last ch of the main chain, which will allow you to turn and work on the other side of the main chain. Crochet 1 sc in the next 3 remaining loops on the other side of the chain and then *chain 5. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 1 sc in each ch stitch till you reach the other side of the main chain (4 sc). Crochet 1 sc in the next 2 remaining loops along the other side of the main chain*, repeat 3 times. Then once again chain 5. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 1 sc in each ch stitch till you reach the other side of the main chain and finally crochet 1 slst in the last 10 remaining loops of the other side of the main chain.
Break the yarn and close, leaving a long tail to sew to the lid.
Removable Strap of the bag
Using cream yarn…
1. Chain 110 ch stitches. Starting from the eleventh chain from hook (to create the first buttonhole) , crochet 1 sc in each ch stitch till the end. Then skip 10 of the remaining loops on the other side of the chain and start crocheting from the eleventh remaining loop. Thus you will create the second buttonhole. Now crochet 1 sc in each remaining loop of the other side of the chain and into the 10 remaining loops around the first buttonhole.
Break the yarn, close and weave in ends.
Assembly
- Sew the leaves to the top of the lead.
- Sew the buttons to the sides of the carrot and place the strap.
- Weave in all ends.
