Materials

2.50 mm crochet hook (US C)
- 100 % cotton yarn for a 2.50 mm hook
- A pair of 8 mm safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Polyfiber fill

Abbreviations (US Terms)
st = stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
 
You will need: 
Mustard, light brown and the color of your choice for the scarf.
Then a bit of white, red and black for his muzzle and some leftovers of pink to embroider the cheeks. 
I’ve used 100% cotton yarn (8/8  DK Worsted). 
 
Finished size: 
From head to toe, your finished doll measures 20 cm approximately.
Of course, should you choose a different hook and yarn, final measures will vary…
 


Ready? Let’s begin!


Leg 1
Using mustard…
1. Chain 6 ch stitches. Crochet 2 sc (increase) in the second ch from hook and then 1 sc in each of the following 3 ch stitches. Crochet 4 sc (2 increases) in the last ch stitch, which will allow you to turn and work on the other side of the foundation chain. Crochet 1 sc in each of the following 3 ch stitches and, finally, 2 sc (increase) in the last ch stitch. (Total stitches: 14 sc)
2. Crochet 1 sc, 1 increase, 4 sc, 1 increase, 1 sc, 1 increase, 4 sc, and finally 1 increase (18)
3. Crochet 18 sc 
4. Crochet 7 sc, 2 decreases and finally 7 sc (16)
5. Crochet 6 sc, 1 decrease, 1 sc, 1 decrease and finally 5 sc (14)
Start stuffing the legs firmly and continue doing so as you go…
6. and 7. Crochet 14 sc
8. Crochet 5 sc. Leave the rest of the stitches unworked.
Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. Set aside.
 
Leg 2 + Body
Using mustard…
1. Chain 6 ch stitches. Crochet 2 sc (increase) in the second ch from hook and then 1 sc in each of the following 3 ch stitches. Crochet 4 sc (2 increases) in the last ch stitch, which will allow you to turn and work on the other side of the foundation chain. DON’T BREAK THE YARN… Now we will start with the body…

Body
9. (This is the tricky part…) Still with leg 2 on your hook, chain 2 and join leg 1 with a sc. This will be the new beginning of the following rounds. Place a stitch marker here. Make sure both feet are facing forward, and the back of the legs face you. Crochet further 13 sc all along leg 1. Then crochet 2 sc on one of the sides of the 2-ch-chain. Now, crochet 14 sc along leg 2 and, finally, 2 sc on the other side of the 2-ch-chain (32)
10. Crochet *7 sc, 2 sc in the next st*, repeat * 4 times (36)
11. and 12. Crochet 36 sc
13. Crochet 2 sc, one decrease, *4 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 5 times, 2 sc (30)

14. and 15. Crochet 30 sc

16. Crochet *3 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 6 times (24)
17. and 18. Crochet 24 sc
Start stuffing the body firmly…
19. Crochet 1 sc, one decrease, *2 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 5 times, 1 sc (18)

Place safety eyes between rounds 28 and 29, with a distance between them of 9 stitches and embroider the cheeks with a bit of pink yarn…
41. Crochet 3 sc, one decrease, *6 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 5 times and finally 3 sc (42)
42. Crochet *5 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 6 times (36)
43. Crochet 2 sc, one decrease, *4 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 5 times and finally 2 sc (30)
Start stuffing the head…
44. Crochet *3 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 6 times (24)
45. Crochet 1 sc, one decrease, *2 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 5 times, 1 sc (18)
46. Crochet *1 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 6 times (12)
47. Crochet 6 decreases (6)
Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. 
 
Arms
Make two, using mustard…
1. Chain 2. Crochet 4 sc in the second chain from hook.
2. Crochet 2 sc in each stitch (8)
3. to 11. Crochet 8 sc
No need to stuff the arm…
12. Press the opening with your fingers, aligning 4 stitches side by side and sc together the corresponding stitches, 1 sc into each pair of stitches.
Fasten off yarn, leaving a long tail to sew the arms to the body. 
 
Ears
Make two, using mustard…
1. Magic ring of 6 sc
2. Crochet 6 sc
3. Crochet 2 sc in each st (12)
4. to 7. Crochet 12 sc
No need to stuff…
12. Press the opening with your fingers, aligning 6 stitches side by side and sc together the corresponding stitches, 1 sc into each pair of stitches.
Fasten off yarn, leaving a long tail to sew to the head.  

Muzzle

Using white…

1. Magic ring of 6 sc

2. Crochet 2 sc in each st (12)

3. and 4. Crochet 12 sc

Fasten off yarn, leaving a long tail to sew to the head.  

 


Horns

 

Small horn

Using light brown

1. Magic ring of 6 sc

2. to 4. Crochet 6 sc
Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. Set aside.

Large horn

Using light brown…

1. Magic ring of 6 sc

2. to 6. Crochet 6 sc
7. With the large horn still on your hook, join the small horn with a sc. This will be the new beginning of the following rounds. Place a stitch marker here. Crochet further 5 sc all along the small horn. Then go back to the large horn and crochet 6 sc along it (12). 
8. Crochet 12 sc

No need to stuff…

9. Crochet *2 sc, one decrease*, repeat * 3 times (8)
10. and 11. Crochet 8 sc
Fasten off yarn, leaving a long tail to sew to the head.  

 

Scarf

Using the color of your choice

1. Chain 61 chain stitches. Starting from the second chain from hook, crochet 1 sc in each ch stitch (60)

2. to 4. Chain 1 and turn. Only through back loops, crochet 60 sc. 

Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. 


Assembly
- Curve the ears and sew them to the head.
- Sew the horns in between the ears.

- Stuff the muzzle slightly and sew it in between the eyes. With a bit of red and light brown yarn embroider the nose.

Sew the arms to the body.

With a bit of light brown yarn, embroider some spots to the side of this forehead.

Knot the scarf around the neck.
- Weave in all ends inside the doll.
